the percussion reminded me of óveður by sigur rós, it's a nice contrast to the twinkling soundscape. i really wish it was longer, the bass at the end felt like it was really going somewhere but got cut off

NG-CakeLegend responds:

Yeah, i agree. I really liked what i made and i was really scared to ruin it if i tried to continue it so i left it as it was and added a dramatic ending.

really powerful, this feels like the soundtrack to opening up to someone

DelitescentAria responds:

Thank you for the kind words! :)

I dont know about everyone else, but to me the percussion really filled out the space in this piece (coming here from the no drum version). Even though the rythyms are a bit unorthodox, its still something to get down to. I do think it got a bit repetitive though; could have used a b-side or bridge I think. I thought the changes in timbre and little phrases of short silence here and there were cool and definitely added interest, but a switch-up would give some much needed colour to this. All in all though it's really good, keep it up!

Quarl responds:

Thanks Shye <3

This is pretty hot, I'm a sucker for noise/ambient music haha.
A few critiques though:
First off, and this is entirely subjective, the length. What you've done right is dragged out the piece to feel more sustained, long, and moderately cold. However, it's a bit much. I think if the tempo was sped up by perhaps 15% (making it fall to around 7min total) it would be a tad more mellifluous. That's just what I'd do though, you may prefer this speed and that's totally cool.
And second I'd like to build off what skyboundary said below, the repeated tone is very lonely in this piece. Usually a repeated noise in music can act as a good percussion, but when you dont build on that beat it becomes uninteresting or "irritating" as said by sky. An easy fix, if you were going for a drone/noise type approach rather than a percussive one, would be to make the tone melodic. Bring it up and down a bit here and there, that would make it less likely to fall into the trap of becoming boring.
By looking at the description, I can tell you didn't give this your full effort, but even so you have something really nice going on! Reminds me a bit of the album Bird, Lake, Objects from Masayoshi Fujita and Jan Jelinek, and maybe even A Moon Shaped Pool from Radiohead. You could really build off this and make something spectacular.

Either way, keep up the good work and try to be positive, l1f3 1s r0ugh but 1t w1ll @ll g3t b3tt3r w1th t1m3

Skiddle responds:

Thanks for your criticism, Shye. I really appreciate it :) Yeah, I know this is slow & painfull. I just made something when I was bored. Wanted to try something I haven't have tried since September of last year. And, yeah the repeated tone can be very annoying. I lost interest about a minute in, and said "fuck it". So... yeah...

I'm glad you seemed to like it, and I am positive. The title doesn't really mean anything to be honest. 8ut th@nk5, 5hy3.

This made me so happy!

I love so much about this remix, oh god I have heaps to talk about. Firstly, I love how you held the notes that are cut short in the original on the drop, it made it softer and felt felt like there was more flow to it, really working nice with the genre! I also love how the drum beats at 2:30 match where the rests are in the original, it helps it sound more complete in my mind. Oh and the way the melody fades in at 3:13 was perfect <3
Yes, it's different, but I personally prefer that here. You're exploring parts of an idea that I wouldn't have originally thought of, which opens up so much creative potential, so I'm glad you changed so much!
Thank you for this, you made my day :)

KamillasRainbow responds:

Thank you! I'm so glad you like it! You just made my day as well. I've been a fan of your stuff for a while. You make some awesome art and really good music. Just wanted to say that. Have a nice day. <3

I honestly didn't see anything wrong with this unlike the other guys reviews. Overall this was simply a treat to listen to, it's so amazing being alongside you as you get better and better :D

acxle responds:

Thanks tri :))

Utterly beautiful.. <3

acxle responds:

Thank you <333

This creeped the shit out of me, I mean the happy tune/instrumentation with the deranged lyrics is both spine-chilling and strangely enjoyable to listen to. One might question if you and the lyricist were on the same page with this piece...
I'm still rating this as fair as I can though, because although the song left me shivering it is high quality catchy music nonetheless. I would give 5 stars if there was more focus on the tune not the Vocaloid, but that might just my opinion.
Very well produced, try to keep it up thats all I can say :D

steampianist responds:

thanks for the review mate but yeah maybe i couldve gave equal focus to both vocals and the instrumentals

i want people to understand me better than i understand myself
